My mom and I went to go see the movie Champions. It's a movie with people who have disabilities just like me. They are living great lives, and trying to do things for themselves like working, taking a bus, and living on their own.
In the movie, a basketball coach got in trouble at his job and then got arrested for drinking and driving. He was sentenced to do community service by coaching a Special Olympics basketball team. He learned a lot from working with the team. The biggest lesson he learned is what it means to be a champion. By working hard, the team made it to the regional finals and got to go on a big trip. I won't tell you if they win the game because it doesn't matter. They won in life and as a team.
One of my favorite parts in the movie was a scene with the girl on the team and the assistant coach. He said something to the girl player, but said it very loud. The girls said "I have Down Syndrome, I'm not deaf". My mom and I laughed really hard.
It was a good movie and they ended it with a karaoke party. I think you should go see this movie.
