Last night I was out on our patio. I saw a lot of colors in the beautiful sunset. It reminded me of the poem I wrote after listening to the Creative Writing students. Here is my poem and a picture of the sunset.
I have been watching a lot of "The Golden Girls" on Hulu. It is a show about four women in their "golden years" (my mom's phrase) living together and sharing all of the ups and downs of their lives.
I like this show because I like the theme song. I also like the characters. My favorite characters are Rose Nyland and Blanche Devereaux. They are BFFs, they are nice and caring people. Rose is the funniest one on the show. She tells a lot of stories from her hometown of St. Olaf.
My mom said there is a documentary movie out about this show. I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to. There is also a spin-off of "The Golden Girls" called "The Golden Place". This is a show where three of the women (Sophia, Rose, and Blanche) run a hotel. This is a pretty funny show too. You can find this on Hulu too.
Today, my mom and I went to Wussow's Concert Cafe to see a creative writing class I'm thing of taking do a poetry reading. At the Cafe, we had a nice snack and drink. I had gluten free peanut butter balls and a strawberry banana smoothie. They were yummy...messy, but yummy.
Five people read their poems today. They had a lot of fun and the audience enjoyed it. I think I will take this class in July. I like to write and I am excited to read for others.
My first poem will be called Sunset 🌇.
I am back home from college. I'm happy to have graduated from Bethel University. Today we met with CHOICE, Unlimited. They will help me find a job and sign up for classes like Creative Writing and Poetry. I may also get to be part of some plays. I am excited to work with them.
My mom and I will start to look for apartments. I may have to be on a waiting list, but that's ok. I'm so glad to be independent.
