Sunday was the 4th of July and both my mom and Jed have a week of vacation. We've been spending a lot of quality time together and with Jed's two brothers.
This weekend we spent two days on the boat. It was really hot and sunny and we got pretty tan. Actually, I didn't get tan, because never do. On Saturday we found a nice swimming spot and watched people jump off of a rope swing. We all kind of wanted to do it too, but we chickened out. Later that day we went tubing. It was a lot of fun to go fast behind the boat. My mom even took a turn, but we couldn't throw her off. After tubing we cruised around the lake, relaxing and enjoying the sun. That night, we saw fireworks that were done by a guy on the far east end of the lake. We also got to talk to my aunt and uncle in New Zealand and shared the fireworks with them.
On Sunday, we went back out on the boat again and met up with a ton of people at a cove on the west side of the lake. We swam, chatted with people, and relaxed. I also did a word search book on the boat. It was a great day.
This week, we've been on two walking trails Chester Creek and Congdon Park. The day we were at Chester it was 95 degrees and I wasn't feeling good, so we went back home. Mom and Jed did the Duluth Lake Walk with Jordan. These pictures are from our walk today at Congdon Park.
Tomorrow, my mom, my sister Veroncia, and I will be heading off to see my sister Samantha. She lives in Arizona. It has been a really long time since I've seen them and I miss them a lot. It will be so much fun to see them and spend time together. We may even get our "sister tattoos". I'm a little excited but also scared that it might hurt.
I'll tell you all about it when I get home.
Peace and Love
